There are more than 200 West African Rhythms and 1000 Master's phrases in Djembe Loops.

Djembe Loops mission statement is to be a comprehensive and FREE library of West African Rhythms and Phrases. These Rhythms and Phrases can be on the spot reproduced by a full West African Orchestra by utilizing the Djembe Loops sequencer engine.

Those West African Rhythms and Phrases are coming from the following resources:

  • - Paid West African music lessons and seminars from varius masters, maestros and teachers that the owners of Djembe Loops have participated through the years.

  • - WAP Pages. WAP pages have been the main point of reference regarding West African traditional music for many, many years. The relevant book (pdf) has been a must for almost all Djembe and Dundun player that are studing West African traditional a bit seriously. A big thank you from all of us in Djembe Loops to Paul Nas for all the effort put into collecting all this information and for making publicly available to all those that want to study West African traditional music.
